Which Notebook - Laptop is the best?

Ok Guys.
I know this question have been asked so many times.
Which is the best and which one to buy.
I am in the market for the new laptop.
Must be fast.
If possible, the bigger the screen the better
Best quality Graphics.
Good Quality hardware etc Webcam must be very good.
Enought USB ports.
Must be able to take a few knocks.
Battery live must be very good.
Support service muct be good [Not like the one that I do have now that work through a middle man that charge an arm and a leg to get a problem fixed.
Good warranty and if possible the company must supply service and repairs themselves.
There are much more that I can add to this list.

Macbook Pro 17"? Good graphics, great build quality, best screen and battery life.

Only has 3 USB ports but you can just get a hub.

Lenovo Thinkpad, Dell Latitude E6400, Fujitsu Lifebook, Panasonic Toughbook (Let's Note). Make sure the machine you want has a magnesium alloy lid. Some of those might not be available in sizes bigger than 14", though.

Just out of interest, which brand do you have at the moment?

This depends on what you want. For component quality, there is only one contender.

Best quality laptops for military-industrial and business use would be the Panasonic range.

Panasonic Let's Note (Business Toughbook, business rugged) is the business range. Semi-rugged laptops, they're spill proof, made of Magnesium alloy (tough and light), very light, strong with shock mounted SSD/HDD - can resist 78cm drop and 100kg weight, you can bury them in snow or spill water on the keyboard. The components are very good - they're designed and made by Panasonic in Osaka, Japan. Panasonics do have two drawbacks. They are very expensive.
They are also loaded with not the most cutting edge of hardware, as Panasonic state these are business notebooks and reliability of components is their No 1 priority. So you won't find a Panasonic with an NVIDIA or ATI graphic card. However, they are reliable. The failures on Let's Note machines are very low. They're very light and strong. They use expensive ULV C2D processors and have excellent battery lives. No 1 Business notebook in Japan. Forget Sony Vaio. Compared to a Panny, a Vaio is very cheap and flimsy.
Price $2000-$6000.

Panasonic Toughbook (fully ruggedised), these are the legendary notebooks the US military use, no-one else can come close. They work in subzero temperatures, can bury them in snow, can drive a jeep over them, even shoot them - they work in the heat of the desert and the cold of the arctic.
These are even more expensive on average and the hardware is even more dated - as Panasonic goes for reliability and not glitz.
Price $3000 and up.

Well Budget is not a matter. I just want to get a machine that I can rely on and a company that can give a great support.

At the moment I am using an HP Pavilion DV9521ei. It is not the best, but at the moment it is ok, but I need to get something much better. With HP, it seems that if your warranty has expired, they are not interested in helping you. Have been send by them to a company that really sucks you dry for labour, and for the components to be replaced, I have no idea if it is made of gold or what, but they are really expensive.

The main purpose to get a good quality laptop, is because I do a lot of Video editing and also lots of Graphic designs. I am on the move a lot and need to take my work with me.

I did look at the macbook Pro, but I am just scared that it can not take a few knocks when traveling.
I do find that sometimes I do run out of USB ports so it is critical that there must be at least 4 USB ports. Also I need to add a good quality Video capture card.

The only good quality and 3D hardware option you'll have is the Apple MBP.

Perhaps NEC VersaPro.

If you want a reliable machine for business - not video editing - a Panasonic Let's Note - but the 2.53GHz model may be good for video editing - but no dedicated GPU, just Intel.
Trust me, I spent a week in Singapore rummaging the Dells, HPs, Sonys, Apples, Kohjinshas, NECs, Toshibas, Acers and Asus models only to get what I wanted at the Suntec Panasonic Stall. For build and reliability, the guys in Osaka are tops.
