Should I buy the PS3 40gig for R7 307, or should I just bit the bullet and pay LESS and buy the 80 gig one for only R6 635?

Just a little bit of sarcasm, just trying to make the point that the pricing on Wantitall is completely crap. I ordered from them once, and then considered ordering from them again, until i noticed that their xbox games are almost twice the price they charge at BT Games. Plus, if you have read some of my other posts you would know that I would never buy a PS3.

Careful dude, droids don't do sarcasm ;)

I wouldn't go near WIA with a barge poll. I'd rather order from Amazon UK, DVDCrave or Play asia.

Play Asia is amazing, BUT duties are insane when the games land!!

yup wantitall is complete rubbish tbh. They overprice for EVERYTHING. And navigating the site is a nightmare.

They overprice for EVERYTHING.

Agreed, but there's overpriced and then there is something else. WIA is in the something else category. I mean if you log on there and you look at the price without looking elsewhere, you might go "bugger it" and order from them... but i mean you look at their prices and go WTF!?!?? Its like nobody that works there has an internet connection. or the smarts to go "Hey I have an idea, lets see what I competitors are pricing things at!?!?!?".

Either that or their pricing is literally meant to be insulting.

Err.. wait.. whoops.. hang on.. err lets delete this thread now and wait unitl after I have won the wantitall competition.. forgot bout that!!!... Admin.. PLEEZ delete this thread before any WIA representatives see this!!! (more sarcasm, see first post in thread)

WIA is overpriced for somethings (usually the stuff you can actually get in this country)

BUT, they're really there to get things from overseas that you can't get in this country.. then they can sometimes be pretty reasonably priced.

!!!!!AND the winner of the first draw in the WIA Myadsl competition is......;)

Why dont you save like R2000 by getting off your ass and driving to the shop and buying a PS3.... yes you might live far away but it cant justify you spending so much more on something.\

I know this thread is about wantitalls prices, but get over it, we all know some of there prices are wonki, but they are an import store, there main market is not selling crap that you can find in any shop.

And it's like....sometimes when you get these shops where nobody bothers to check the prices for consistency you can get a good price. But not WIA. Everything costs at least 25% more than every other online shop in SA.

Funny, I select normal mail fro PA and the DVD lands right in my post box with no duties :o

But typically that's ordering 1 at a time.

Just ordered my 40gb ps3 from kalahari. R3899 plus I get 10% back in vouchers. Next day delivered!

Man, you won't be sorry. Very good deal, that. Enjoy and welcome to the upper echelon of gaming. :D

That R3900 for a PS3 is a good price...then again it depends how good a price an out of date BD player can get nowadays? Considering the lack of games on it...wait it's not such a good bargain afterall!
:p

As a BD player the PS3 isn't that outdated

PS3 does indeed have a fast blu-ray player

A lot of developers criticise the Playstation 3’s Blu-Ray player reading too slow. The fact of the matter is that the PS3 has the fastest Blu-Ray player to date. The Japanese have put 2nd generation BD recorder, 3rd generation standalone Blu-Ray players and the PS3’s Blu-Ray player on test. The PS3 came out on top in terms of loading times.

Title in test : Men in Black
Sony PS3: 43 seconds
Sony BDP-S350:66 seconds
Sony BDP-S5000ES:67 seconds
Sony BD Recorder : BDZ-T50: 80 seconds
Sony BD Recorder : BDZ-X100:81 seconds
