Hi All

I see every body moaning and groaning about being shaped and not being able to use all protocols.

So my question to all is which package are you on? Becuase they way I see it, the only package that mentions anything about P2P is the 9gig package.

Would anybody that is on the 9 gig package please share with us your experiance's.Does P2P work on it?

To the rest of you .I dont think it's reasonable to accuse WBS of any shenanigans regarding P2p,etc since clearly the only package they offer these protocols is on the 9 gig!

i'm on the 3 gig!
Regards

well i can get around shaping and so can everyone else who takes 5 minutes to look for a solution to the problem. But I can only upgrade from the 1st personally to the 9GB, and i'm not doing it for shaping, more so because I have a high usage rate. I don't actually think anyone is on the 9GB yet since the only way you could get it was to be totally new to WBS because they were moving accounts tis month so upgrading was impossible. I'll be sure to tell everyone come May 1st

Hi Slim,

You right.I did'nt realise that.So then the "real" launch day is 1st May beacuse after that I think WBS will be seriously running out of excuses fast!!

It's gonna be interesting!!

If I'm correct WBS actually states that the 3gig is optimized for certain applications, and others (incl. p2p) will be throttled to 64k.

:)

I'm not sure what package I'm on, but here's my package details:

1) speeds going from a modem speed, up to 'quite good' (depending on what application I'm using).

2) an average of 20 minutes on hold, each time I call the Helpdesk.

3) Being referred to in the Media by Company Management as being 'an abuser' and 'irresponsible' in interviews, because I used their product like they advertised I could.

4) Receving no official statements of any sort via email from the Company.

5) When there are problems, most of the time the Helpdesk says 'we can't help you' or suggests its somehow my fault, or blames either the unavailable Management or the unavailable Technicians.

6) The package I'm on, also means that if there's a problem after 11pm, or before 8am during the week, or after 5/6pm on weekends - the Company chooses not to have any helpdesk open.

I think that covers my IBurst Package in all its benefits..?

i think you need to start a new thread because you're just taking his question and turning it into a moanfest

lol now ic will take these posts and make a new thread with them and make it look like i made it..... again :p

rebel is on the 3GB package, he thinks. IRC, FTP, P2P, etc works!
The cap seems to be working flawlessly now as well.

3GB package, and looking much better the last week or so. I stopped P2P after non-existent download speeds (and disappearing torrent seeds :()

3Gb package. Still uncapped this month, so it probably suits my needs. Buying extra gigs if needed, or coping with the throttle seems a more economical solution for me than paying upfront for a bigger package.

On the other hand, unthrottled p2p on the 9gig package is very tempting. I may not use the full 9 gigs, but full speed p2p would be a big bonus.

The dlilemma: Economy? Freedom? Economy? Freedom? Hmmmm.....

3GB package. http & ftp good. p2p never worked for me, to be honest i couldn't be bothered about it :) ftp has always been the way to go for me.
