which phone

Galxy s2 on MTN at R339, that's what I've done and I have never been happier. I was on iphone but got bored, my brother is on blackberry but after playing on my android he says BIS is not worth the crappy phone you get with it.

My recommendation: Galaxy S2, RAZR, Nexus prime, Atrix, You pretty much can't go wrong with a dual core android I would say
 
My recommendations:

Life proof with good specs: Defy - dont worry about dropping the phone, falling into the pool etc (I have one and I love it...it CM7 and GB 2.3.7)

For better specs, display etc: Samsung Galaxy S

Totally awesome specs and life proof, block bullets (ok not really) and not feel a thing in ur pcket: Moto Droid Razr

Something slightly better than that spec-wise but not life proof: Nexus prime (newer android version), iphone 4S (S for simplicity - for old people with no time and youngsters who don't understand much)

That about sums it up. :)
