Which programming language you should learn

Still something I want to learn some time, but for my own entertainment, waaay to late in life to make a job of it I'm sure.

Are you saying that from the perspective that's it's difficult to learn or it should never be learnt?

No, you should not learn JS as a first language. On it's own, JavaScript is easy. HOWEVER when you start applying it in terms of a more fullstack web solution(Front and Back end built in JavaScript) It becomes choppy.

The JS environment is wide, cluttered and there are some weird anomalies within the language that need to be taken into account.

Example: {""} + {""} = should be a type error, but it is not.

One more thing, in the world today, JS is a necessary evil. I have become way more comfortable with using it server and client side.
