I usually play sports/racing games and the only games I've completed are GOW3 and Uncharted1 & 2.

I've started playing games like RDR, Arkham Asylum and recently Assassins Creed 2 but I always lose interest and move on to something else. I prefer games like Uncharted over RDR and AC2 because you can't just roam around aimlessly interacting with the environment which distracts me. I have Infamous which I'm considering starting to play.

Which games would you recommend?

At least Uncharted 3 is out next week. A little later in November we'll also get Saints Row: The Third (I've never played a Saints Row title before but I know it's also open world...but just looks like loads of silly fun!). Also if you enjoyed God of War 3 then you may enjoy the God of War 1 + 2 Collection that was released for PS3 a while ago.

I'm also thinking of picking up the ICO / Shadow of the Colossus HD Collection however my November is going to filled with so much gaming time as it is...so it may have to go on the "to be played" pile lol.

Oh yeah if you're into sports then there is also FIFA 2012 that just recently released (but you may already have it).

Infamous is a goodie, although at it's core, is an open world game like AC. Darksiders is a bit more defined, been enjoying that one. Heavenly Sword was also pretty cool. Uncharted seems to be a bit unique in it's form of gameplay, at least of my experience so far.

I don't want an open-world game. I'd also prefer something with a bit of shooting. From what I'm reading online, Infamous is closest to Uncharted.

You should try RDR again, once you play a bit more im sure you will get into it, its brilliant.
