Which RAM Do I have?

Hi Guys,
I want to upgrade ram for my old desktop.
The thing is, I don't know whether the ram the computer uses is DDR1 or DDr2.
I looked at the sticker on the ram, it reads: 256mb ddr pc3200 cl3
So which ram is it?

Download CPUID and check the second/third tabs. But I'd say its DDR(1) since thats what the sticker says

DDR-400 (So DDR1 as you would call it)

If it was DDR2 it should have been called PC2-3200 but to be safe use a free utility like SIW or PC Wizard 2010 to confirm the type of memory. Your motherboard manual will also tell you the type of ram.

I'd just use CPU-Z. No need for fancy apps.

Yep, PC3200 is DDR 400Mhz (DDR1) and has 184 pins (92 on each side)

3200/8 = 400 = DDR400 = DDR1
