Ok guys yesterday I was asking about mobos and I've decided to go with the: GA-P35-DS3L

Now I need some help with the ram for it. I can't afford gaming RAM so it's a choice between these 3 so far: (ordered by price cheap->not so cheap )

1) Transcend® JetRam™ High-Performance 2x1GB DDR2-800 240-Pin Module : CL5, 4-Layer PC Board

2) Kingston ValueRam KVR800D2N5K2/2G , 2x1Gb/1024mb kit , ddr2-800 ( pc2-6400 ) , CL5 , 1.8v - 240pin

3) Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400 - XMS2 , with heatsink , 2x1Gb/1024mb kit , ddr2-800 ( pc2-6400 ) , CL5 , 1.9v - 240pin

Now when it comes to RAM makes I'm very in the dark. Which would you guys recommend. Keep in mind I'm not going to be overclocking but it is for gaming.

I've never had a problem with Transcend or Kingston.

I would probably recommend Corsair though, heard it's good quality. :)

Pity Rectron stopped selling Corsair.

1. The cheapest kind dude, seriously, you will NOT notice the difference betweeen budget stuff and super high-end, unless you're benchmarking and looking at scores, or wanting to OC in sync with FSB.
I'm getting tired of writing this, along with the fact that all graphics cards are usually made by 1 or two companies and then the rest buy from them.

Yeah, I will probably go for the cheapest out of the 3, just making sure that there weren't any known issues for any of these makes.

Thanks man, now I know... and knowing is half the battle.

ok, thanks for the feedback guys.
Think I'm gonna go for the transcend. It works out about R100 cheaper than the Kingston, which is nice.
So thats the Mobo and RAM down. Next month it's CPU time :D, want to get me a Q6600

There isn't really such a thing as affordable gaming RAM, you either buy expensive gaming RAM that does little for gaming besides OC'ing, or you buy generic RAM for cheap.

The other option you're looking at is buying the same generic RAM with a brands sticker on it in their "value" line, which is pretty much the same as the hynix/chaintech stuff just a bit more expensive.

I suppose you get a better guarentee and maybe (probably not) better ram chips that they select.

1 more vote for Transcend, good quality and you can ring some more mhz's out off em as well ;)

I run these on my system and you won't regret buying them.

Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C - XMS2 , with heatsink , 2x1Gb/1024mb kit , ddr2-800 ( pc2-6400 ) , CL4 , 1.9v - 240pin

They run 4-4-4-12 @ 2.1v and cost R900 from Take2.

DO EET!

Another vote for Corsair

Sold about a dozen of those sets, not a single comeback.

1 more vote for Transcend. been using it for long, recently got the Jetram 2gig module DDR2 667mhz

I have the ds3l brilliant board - my only problem is 4sata - should have gone for the dsr with 8 - my mistake though , but nice board.

I've typically always used Transcend I think

EDIT: Would the difference between JetRam DDR2-800 2GB Memory Module and Corsair DDR2-800 2GB (2x1GB) XMS2 Twin2X Memory Module Kit be largely overclocking ability?
