Which screen to choose (pretty specific)

Hehe, looks are an issue for me. I actually prefer the 226BW to the 2232GW. I saw both in the shop and I didn't care that much for the 2232GW.

Also, price-wise, IC has the 226BW for R3000(which is not too far off what it should be I guess) whereas the 2232GW is R3300 :(

Computer Mania have them for cheaper than R3000, when I last checked @ the beginning of Feb.

Yeah. If I could find somewhere for a whole lot less then I'd consider getting it from there. For now, cos I get the vouchers with my upgrade, I can get the monitor without having to pay in at all.
 
To be honest, when I looked at my 2232GW in the shops, I didn't like the shape, or the stand, but when it comes over that counter, it is indescribably beautiful! You WILL NOT regret it. Where do you stay? Maybe I can grab one from pc zone and post to you... :p Have a look at their site - www.zones.co.za

As mentioned earlier, if I can find the monitor for substantially cheaper then I can try selling my IC vouchers and buying it for cash...:)
 
Was back at IC today. They were kind enough to have almost all the monitors I am looking at lined up next to each other with the same desktop background for easy comparison :)

Still like the 226BW. It was right next to the 2232BW, which I have to admit had much richer, deeper colours and textures - Still prefer the design of the 226BW really.

Just a pity that IC's pricing is so poor when it comes to monitors..Seriously considering trying to sell the vouchers rather and get the monitor somewhere else..

@hj2k : when I saw you resurrected this thread I thought that it would be a post saying you got the 2232!

Come on mate, ... stop thinking about it already and go for the samsung 2232GW :) Make a plan with those vouchers. :)

I doubt you will regret your buy.
 
Got the 226BW. I love it. I still prefer it to the 2232GW which the IC guy offered me as well...

Beautiful monitor this one :)
