Don't know which is best but I am happy with Bitorrent and Limewire.

i tried bitorrent but had connectivity issues and limewire sometimes doesnt like the torrent files. i ended up using clients on my xp vpc.

Azureus. Hands down.

But at the moment I'm using Transmission. The problem with Azureus, at least on the PPC machines: its slooooooow. Heavy on disc, heavy on memory. But it's a control freak's delight. It has so many things to set, and such fine grained control. I would like to find a torrent client that has Azureus' control over each torrent, but that is native and easy on resources.

Have you guys tried Transmission? It's UB AFAIK.

I'm running Transmission right now. It works well, and has some nice little things like, you can tell it to watch a specific directory for new torrent files. If you download a torrent file and save it to that directory, it starts downloading it straight away without any further intervention from you.

It works well enough. I just miss the control-freak features of Azureus.

To be serious, Azureus has an option somewhere in there to enable or force SSL - this helps evade ISP throttling. Give it a try.
