Which internet option is the best for use for a home office?

I use it for all the normal stuff like e-mail, software upgrades, googling etc. I have never been able to use it successfully for Skype, video conferencing or Remote Desktop.

I am currently using iBurst but will change to anything that will work including 3G HSDPA, sattelite, etc. Overall my iBurst connection compares well with a good 56K connection.

My priorities are
- Video conferencing
- Remote desktop
- Googling

Virtually all of what I do is on international sites.

Any suggestions on what I should look out for?

I would buy the modem from the supplier and and not commit to any long term contracts from Telkom.

I would recommend trying prepaid ADSL account for now from WebAfrica (www.webafrica.co.za) - they can activate your account online or OpenWeb (www.openweb.co.za) and you can determine which package would suit you best in terms of video conferencing requirements i.r.o shaping.
