Dude, you bought a car without a what car to buy thread where we basically tell you what to get based on what we own, and you ignore us all and get the car you wanted in the first place?Bump. We went past an MG dealership yesterday, took the ZS Pro Luxury for a test drive, and pulled the trigger then and there. Picking it up tomorrow.
The ride quality and interior is incredible, and not just for its price range either. There's a few things I noticed where they cut some costs, none of which bothers me - it has single zone climate control (how much do you really use dual zone anyway) and wired AA/CP (get a wireless dongle).
Changing my mind on this thread, anyone shopping in this bracket should go test drive a ZS Pro (not the normal ZS, those are kak). Standard 7 year / 200,000km warranty, 5 year service plan too...
For sure but those are apparently especially bad and it seems Nissan often can't even fix them, the problems just persist for months on end, spares availability also a real pita and very expensive. I saw a Facebook thread a while back and there were a lot of very miffed owners, all saying very nice car when it’s working but not worth the headaches. Can't any car give issues? The nature of the game, you can get duds and you can get winners. Generally you'll just hear more about the problems then the winners, they're the same car essentially as the Kiger and you don't hear as many complaints on those.
But we will see how it goes, people moan about French cars all the time but having had one for 6 years no issues.
As I said you can't really go on "complaints" on a facebook thread as generally complaints are always more and louder then praises. They also don't mention which version or year. For sure but those are apparently especially bad and it seems Nissan often can't even fix them, the problems just persist for months on end, spares availability also a real pita and very expensive. A youngster at work bought himself the standard ZS early in December. Got the car on the Thursday and on the Saturday a lady drove into his parked car at the local Spar. Not huge damaged but front bumper, left fender and bonnet need to be replaced. I asked him on Monday what the hold-up is. Aparently the spares will only be here in June.Bump. That'll get better over time. I remember reading somewhere that a parts distribution centre was being set up locally, so it should soon be on par with the established brands...A youngster at work bought himself the standard ZS early in December. Good watch, pretty much echos my view on the car.
Look at the MG3 hybrid?Good watch, pretty much echos my view on the car.
Even though we got it for my wife, I find myself using it more over the Megane. It's a far more relaxing and comfortable drive for commuting. Decent fuel consumption too, averaging 7.9l/100km.
If they bring the hybrid here, I might seriously consider trading the Megane in...
Too small, and I like the ride height in the ZS Pro. Even if they bring the HS hybrid I'll take it...Look at the MG3 hybrid?
