I am looking to get someone an Irish whisky as a gift thought or tambo duty free moment ght have something decent.
Problem is a non drinker is travelling so they precision instructions.

Price check at Wild about Whisky, Still a lot of older releases to be found at bargain prices. Ledaig isn't cheap usually.

Their approach is to set the markup relative to the price they paid and generally not adjust just because the market is going bonkers. I've had some proper bargains there.

It’s been a while….but I need help again. I want to try a Corn Whiskey. Where and how do I find one without sacrificing my entire paycheck?

Bain's

Late edit:

Not at all my favorite Corn whisky, but fits in with your requirements. The best corn Whiskey you'll source from the US of course, but that will be more effort and slightly more pricey.

Bought and tasted the Benriach 12 and the new private barrel it's a cheap Irish whiskey.
Was interesting the private barrel is 43% but had a strong alcohol smell and wasn't very good.
The Benriach is 46% smells much softer and a considerably better drink.
Just my thoughts.

Benriach 12 is a go to.

Avoid most Irish Whiskey if you don't want to be disappointed :)

I bought a bottle of that private barrel Irish whisky from the last batch. Prob over a year ago and still haven't opened it. Don't have high hopes but just grabbed one when I saw it in the shop. At R270 thought it worth a gamble at the time.

Have bought many bottles of the Benriach 12, is prob one of the best value at the price. Really great everyday dram

I went to get a 2nd bottle of Benriach this afternoon but they didn't have stock so got that instead.

If you want Irish I would suggest Redbreast 12. Although with the latest price increase has become pretty unaffordable
