I don't need to have every special release, and have a long wish list to get to, so have to make decisions haha

I've not tried the 10 but I've tried quite a few Port Charlottes, I just can't connect with them. Bruichladdich, yes I like Bruichladdich enough but Port Charlotte just misses the mark. Longrow Peated is better (and similar), even if the price is absurd now (~R1000).

Lagavulin 16 is still up there with the best of Islay for me but I enjoy a bit of diversity :p.

Is the Redbreast 15 year worth waiting for? Obviously the price was great at R799 but is the whisky that good to wait for?

Liquorshop still don't have stock and don't know when they might be getting. Not sure if I should just get a refund.

Get a refund...Liquorshop keeps selling stuff they do not have. I am fighting with them for my refund for 2 bottles of PBC Ben Nevis.

The chances are you'll never see that RB 15yo

Any PC is much better than Laga16 and also better value for money too.

Bruichladdich is mostly meh...with an exception here and there, like the 12yo CS that was just released which is really good. The rest is just an average, mostly one-dimensional dram.

PC has so much more complexity and depth with layers of flavor. There is a lot more thought and expression behind it...the perfect gateway drug to Octomore.

So they never actually had stock of the Ben Nevis.

That's my feeling as well, don't know that they will actually get in again.

No they did have stock...mates of mine bought some and got it. But hey probably found a case of 6 somewhere and it sold within minutes...but 4 days later you could still buy it on their site.

I only found out they couldn't deliver after I checked my order 4 days after purchase...and it said Cancelled.

When I phoned them they just said "Oops"...and "We'll refund you in 10 working days."

Bunch of muppets...

Seems they not the best at managing the stock online.

With my order they did at least mail me a few day after and offered a refund or keep it as a credit until they do get stock, but feel like that may be a long time.

So I should probably not get that Springbank, then. Have it hovering in the cart right now but "2 in stock" makes me weary seeing this post.

Chat with them online...they will then check stock for you before you order. What I should have done...
