Landed a few things at auction today. Thought I could get Blantons Straight from the Barrel, but at £160 before VAT and whatnot, it was a bit outside of my budget.
Ended up getting a Raasay distellery special release and a couple of Caol Ila connoisseurs choice bottlings.

Absolutely delicious stuff. I was very lucky to get one as I have a contact at LMDW in France that let me know in time it was on their site. And luckily not Vat and Duties.

I do not ship anything from outside the EU anymore...Vat and Duties here are horrendous.
 
I have 2 tickets to The Only Whisky Show in Jhb for this coming Friday. I can unfortunately no longer go. DM me if interested at the cost price of R600 per ticket.
 
I think I might have a new favourite sub R200 Whisky lol.

Clansman "from the Loch Lomond group".

There is the normal one at 43% ABV but then also the "export strength" at 50% ABV for R199.

Side by side the 50% wins hands down of course.

Haven't gone blind yet :laugh:

Oh man that blue spot was good. By far the best spot. Wonder how the gold stacks up.
