Johannesburg - A predominately white South African trade union accused the government on Thursday of putting racial job quotas ahead of fighting crime.

Solidarity has filed applications in the Labour Court in Johannesburg contesting appointment and promotion policies in the police force and prison service saying whites are suffering from racial discrimination.

Some commentators say insufficient resources and a lack of personnel impede the police force's ability to do its job.

Solidarity secretary-general Dirk Hermann said the SA Police Services were more concerned with meeting affirmative action quotas than filling vacant positions with competent officers.

'Representation before protection'

"There is currently a practice in the Saps, for the sake of the ideology of representation, to rather leave posts vacant or scrap them instead of appointing experienced white police members in the posts," he said at a news conference.

"Representation has become the most important driver for the Saps, instead of pursuing their main objective, namely to protect all South Africans."

Nine cases have been filed against the Saps and one against the prison service alleging white members were being denied promotion or not being re-hired because of the colour of their skin.

The police service could not be reached for comment.

They should all leave and start private security companies, like hardcore neighborhood watch in residential areas ... sure they will get hired
 
The complex I stay in is run by ex-cops. They have business sense and adhere to what it is to build a loyal client base. Not being racial here. But, frankly we have a bunch who know F*** all and expect us to believe in what they doing. I went into CR Swart (Durban) a few months ago, and had to look at some fat major scoffing her curry bought on the corner market while tapping away ignorantly at her keyboard. Don't tell me I'm racial, im sick and tierd of their "cultural" excuses. As a generalisation, they are lazy and squander. Look at Malema and the rest of them.

Same thing happening with South African hospitals...

But when these ANC morons in favour of transformation require the best service they have no problem paying for non black lawyers or doctors.

lol, its crazy isnt it, but it feels like its ok for them to cock everything up due to an age old stigma created. /sigh

Whites are under alot of pressure, I now know what it feels like to be African American in the 70's.
 
that is the result of AA/BEE..............

any person is very easy the see what is the problem. Only those big AA idiots still stick on those idiots actions not because of "transformation", but "transfer-mation" (:D). The meaning of "transfer-mation" is to transfer all the valuable whites assets (including money, skills, intelligences, knowledge, houses, cars etc..) overnight. (ie: robbing :( ) If you have a brain you should know that the "transfer-mation" is impossible to happen. Honestly, I would prefer anc to tell me, "blacks will take over all assets from whites tomorrow" (zim style) rather than AA/BEE. At least I know what should I do, as an investor, I would will take all my assets to run away. Or may be that is the core reason why anc prefers AA/BEE? :eek:
 
And it does not matter, because they in power and you are not, so you might as well just stop complaining. It's going to get worse before it gets better.
 
Well it's such a shyty job i think BEE should not apply( or not as strongly) if you want to work for the government. That mos shows your commitment to the ANC and government? And that nullifies the fact that you are of another race?

But that is just IMO.

Racists. Can't they see it's for the good of the country. In the name of equality and representation. How we supposed to have our liberal utopia with these plods not willing to accept their fate ffs :mad:
 
Black & White

Until we stop seeking solutions to current current problems through a Black & White lens it (problems) will not go away.
