17inch looks nice. put nice sound and pimp it nicely. Dont worry about perfomance as already a slow car.

I'd even push it to 19 inches since we're at it.

Just be careful with the size as it will affect the speedo accuracy, fuel economy and a number of other things as far as I understand. Also may cause problems with the warranty. Sure someone in the know will comment on this.

You'll be spending a lot more on tyres if you go for large rims with low profile tyres, especially if you travel a lot. And with the potholes we have, you'll also be spending a lot on replacing rims. The old 13" steel rims are the most econmical.

Agree, rather get some fancy caps for the steel rims, they're a lot cheaper to replace than damaged mags.
