Whizzyy USB 3G router

Would be interested in hearing from someone who actually has bought one of these. What is the interface and performance like in comparison to the tp-link and huawei routers?

+1
I'm interested in the battery life, as mentioned earlier in the thread.

Ive played around with one here at work using a MTN dongle on it. Setup was easy enough, interface is ok-ish. Performance was fine, I would say its pretty good

While this is working fine, why am I not able to connect to this router with wifi and Ethernet at the same time? The device connected to the LAN port does not get an IP address from the router.

99% of routers work. If you have a specific make model number that your interested in please post and i will let you know. So far the only incompatible modem we had was the Cell C Nokia and we have now added that to the Firmware.

Is the vodafone K5006-z LTE modem compatible? :)

Ok well I have managed to sort this issue out. Seems like when you plug in the LAN cable, you have to restart the PC/laptop before it gets a proper IP address from the router.

Do you have a list of compatible modems please? Will it work with the K3570 and K3772?

I am trying to set up the Whizzy 3G WiFi Router so as to be able to access the internet on my cellphone as well as on my desktop computer running Windows 10.

If I connect my MTN Huawei E352 3G modem with the data sim therein to the Whizzy and switch the Whizzy on, nothing happens. It seems the router is not being identified on both the cellphone and my PC.

In the Whizzy instruction manual, it states that one first needs to Establish a Network Connection in Computer Settings but, in Control Panel, I cannot find any such settings. How then do I go about doing so? And do I have to connect some sort of cable from the computer to the other end of the Whizzy?

Perhaps the Whizzy is not compatible with the MTN E352 modem or maybe I am doing something wrong but can someone please walk me through the procedure step by step to set up the Whizzy.

I have tried contacting the Whizzy Tech Support on the number given in the Instruction Manual but that number turned out to not exist.
All responses would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

And do I have to connect some sort of cable from the computer to the other end of the Whizzy?

You connect an ethernet cable to the device, and the other end into your PC

Thanks for the response. Although I have connected the Ethernet Cable as advised, I am still unable to connect to the internet.
If I click on Change Adaptor Setting, the following information appears:

Ethernet
Uniidentified network
Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller.

And, if I run the Trouibleshooter, it says:

Problem found
“Ethernet” doesn’t have a valid IP configuration

At times there is a message saying that the DNS server needs to be configured.

But my computer is set to automatically obtain an IP address and the DNS server address. Yet it appears that it is not doing that. .

On my cellphone however, the Whizzy 3G WIFI Router is identified WHIZZY_WIFI_cOea and underneath the notification says CONNECTED. Yet when I try to access any webpage, it says CONNECTION FAILED.

What then could be the problem? I managed to contact the Whizzy Technical Support and the Technician there was most helpful and tried his utmost to resolve issues but to no avail. They even replaced the Router but the replacement just worked for one day and now no longer works and gives the very same error messages as before. Can someone please help? Thanks.
