Who can assist

I need some advise and if someone know.

My car went into to get a new gear box, all the work was under warranty. When I got the car back it was even worse then before.After some fighting with the dealership I was told that they put in a recon gearbox.

What can I do

Name and shame them.

Speak to the dealer pricipal personally, if they don't agree to sort out the mess and replace the gearbox, then go up to the national dealer manager, what manufacturer is it?

Report to Ombudsman. When u tell them that, they will do anything for u (i know from experience).

Agreed - when asking for assistance, remember that others can also benefit from your assistance. By naming the brand and the dealer involved, the rest of us can take precautions AND the brand management people can take action to remedy their reputation. Assistance is both ways...

If it is a VW they will tell you "they are all like that" and they won't be lying.....

Write a letter stating your exact problem, let them sign receipt. If they then do nothing, escalate to a higher level.

But I agree, more details would make it easier and the internet can help you a bunch to force a move from their side.
