My Forza2 disc is a slightly scratched. It would sometime freeze while loading a track and I could never play Nurbergring. I installed it to HDD (only succeeded after the third attempt). Now everything works perfectly.

(BTW. My Xbox is still from 2006 !)

Hopefully it will RROD before the end of 2009 when the replacement warranty runs out.
But, if not, I would've had three years with it and will no doubt replace it immediately.

i installed the castle crashers theme and it looks very nice, i love it. not so sure it was worth the 250GP though :/

I bought the Fable 2 one, it's not bad. I don't mind paying a few bob for the new ones if they're good, there's a lot more to them than the old ones, not just a bunch of JPG's

dont feel so bad, after next year's price increases what you paid for your xbox then will seem like a bargain

if i can suggest something...
try and get them to refund you the cash and the buy the elite - they might only swap out for a pro.

Apparently, there will be no more in-shop swop-outs (this is confirmed by two BT Games stores). All replacements are now handled by MI-Digital directly.

You send them a fax on a special form. They send a courier to you with a replacement unit and you give your old unit to the courier.

So there will be no chance to upgrade to an elite and I suspect they will issue me a re-furbished unit.
