Not as cut and dry as you think, example look at the sample they used on Steam
Dishonored: R 535.00 vs L&L's R345.00
Crysis 2: R 347.81 vs ZAP's R89.00
Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty is not even on Steam. Blizzard Sells em for R 347.81
Even worse prices are linked to ZAR vs US$ Exchange rates for online shopping.
Sure if you look out for the sales then Steam can not be beat, but if you looking for a specific game it might pay off to visit your local retail store before you hit that buy button.
