It is edited and done under false pretences. It's good as a comedy show, but nothing more.

That applies to everything he's ever made - Alig, Borat, Bruno etc. To me the whole point of those interviews is to get people into a room with a person (one of his characters) who's so absurd in their beliefs and behaviour that the interviewee ends up saying things they'd never have said in a regular interview.
