Hi,

The "Silent" button on the side of my Iphone 3G has broken off. Fail. Not to mention that the home button is pretty crappy now, have to push quite hard to get it to work.

Who does repairs of this, as i might as well get a new case, original is pretty scratched.

Anyone know of a repair shop, and what this might cost?

Thanks!

Amazing, no one on MYBB owns an Iphone that ever needed repairs.

How sad.

Bother doing a search or just wait and complain?

Of course i did a search. I am aware of Ifix and Gmobile, but I was hoping that my peers and friends on MYBB would offer a good option based on experience and acceptable quality.

I myself used iFix for an iPod battery replacement and was very happy with them.. They are quite busy but for an additional R150 you get to "jump" the queue and get same day service...

Dont use ifix. I made that mistake once. They use cheap knockoff parts that don't work properly. Had an iPod and iPhone repaired by them and they're a scam.

Hi hammell,

Even though it has been a year, we came across your post now. Please be so kind as to supply us with your details, a simple search of your e-mail will bring up your iFix quote/invoice, so we can determine what went wrong with your repairs, and where the cheap knockoff parts were used.

Also, please elaborate on the scam? We love to hear from our customers and claims like yours above are interesting, however, with no detail given, your claim seems to be intent on tarnishing our brand.
