Aye all,

Well my Iburst hopes were dashed terribly, when after waiting a month i was told, sorry no signal. What a bunch of p**ses, but anyway.
I've opted to know go for dsl384, what i would like to know is, which isp should i go with. I remember there being a good/bad list somewhere but can't seem to find it...

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

PS. Anyone says telkom i'll bash your skull in, as well as mine :P I'm against telkom all the way, I still can't live it down from my friends in mauritius that they have faster and cheaper internet :| Sigh well, Feed me the input ;)

Tip: click on the Gargoyle in my signature you will be transported to a list of ISPz and prices and such...

Perhaps it's an idea to mention some details - what sort of things do you want your ISP account to give you other than ADSL bandwidth?

Go with Helkom for one reason - they are the source of ADSL and they call the shots.
Sad, but true.

bb_matt meant telkom. If you buy from anyone else its just an account rerouted through telkom. 1 extra hop all your trafic makes :/

Yeah, you guys have a point, but i'm not to worried abminor latency issue's i'm not such a major gamer. I don't however having all my egg's in one basket if you get my drift... SO yah, I'll look into the others..
PS. Why won't the www.hellkom.co.za site load in firefox? or is it just down?

Thanks...

Bleh it won't load in anything :\ If anyone can help, plz.. Afaik, i don't really want much out of the isp, just stability, friendlyish service and the option to readily buy extra bandwidth.. I'm not asking for the world.. :P

are you capped allready? lol

helkom.co.za is hosted on international host

One extra hop is a small price to pay for not having to hold for 2 hours, and then been told that you must uninstall Nortons ;)
