Why are backhanded compliments flirting.

My second post in this forum today.

But I don't know if this happens with any of you guys. Ladies really do respond well when you give them backhanded compliments and sometimes even you criticize them.

A case in point once was doing a job with this lady who was really being a biatch with constant snide basically saying she so good at this and sort of putting me down backhandedly comments eventually I got fed up and with every snide comment she gave me I gave her 3 back, and started being hyper critical on what she was doing. Then she asked me why I was being hard on her and I hit her with a line similar to : "You said you doing for so long, you really should be better at this"

Next thing she starts to smile at me differently, starts playing with her hair and then with every criticism I gave her she giggled and hit me on my arm. Took a couple of slaps on my arm for me to wise up to this fact. I didn't need that my life so I sort of ignored her flirting she eventually wised up that I wasn't interested.

But I always noticed in my case anyway women tend to respond to backhanded compliments for some reason. any theories why though?

Because when you criticize you indirectly admit that you are equals and that the other person is making you look bad.

Compliments can be seen as being condensing, like oh wow you are a very clever girl because you got a degree that was very hard and work in a big fancy office like all the big boys.

I see it slightly differently. She is probably the type that gets compliments everywhere she goes. So could see it as being submissive. Just like taking insults without come back is submissive.

As soon as you started standing up for yourself and stopped being submissive you became attractive.

The mind of a woman has not been cracked by a man yet, however, a comedian Chris Rock has a whole routine where he goes "Hey, want some dick?!"

Because every woman literally gets hounded by men essentially asking that question (even those who claim that they're not, they forget who they friendzoned lol)

So when a woman does that and/or you give a backhanded compliment, you show her you won't take her **** like any other pussy-whipped man, and you have the balls to stand by it.

Easier said than done if you have an actual interest in dating this woman. In a work scenario it's piss easy because I don't take **** from people. So many of my work-relationships are very friendly, even with the toughest of women-management

Haven't worked in an office environment really but several stories of how woman can brutal on coworkers mentally. Once my cousin actually had to help a male coworker change his personality at work because the women in the office didn't like something about him and were plotting to have him dismissed.
 
I don't understand the question. On the east rand, a regular backhand is considered a marriage proposal.
