Why would I stay away from Vumatel? The problem is Afrihost, not Vumatel.

Any provider that has a cap on Vumatel should be avoided like the plague.

They prey on the ignorance of ADSL subscribers. They treat the bandwidth like IPC when it is nothing of the sort and there is no need for throttling or shaping of Vumatel connections as they do not charge per Mbps. They just pass traffic through an interconnect.

It is irrelevant whether the ISP is being charged per MB or per Mbps.

I would rather get a 200/200Mbps 200GB peak + 1000GB off-peak capped option than a 20/20Mbps uncapped option at the same price (currently R899).

I remember numerous time on these forums, where most people when somebody asks about fibre, tells them to avoid:
MWEB, Afrihost, Axxess etc like the plague. These people come back with snippy remarks about what they want blah blah blah, and about 2 months later there is a post like the one above. Wish people will just listen for once.

STAY AWAY FROM ALL THE OLD ADSL ISP'S, YOU WILL GET A BAD EXPERIENCE

In your opinion, is Cybersmart an "old ADSL ISP"?
