Obelix,

I thought superG/speedbooster etc don't work with WDS. And also that WDS cut bandwidth in half. What AP do you use, and what is the actual transfer speed you get over the wireless link between two PC's running XP.

I'm also using WDS to connect two linksys WRT54G routers. Although they connect at a speed of 54Mbps, I only get a sustainable max transfer speed of 1.5 MB/s (~12Mbps).
Im using 2 gigabyte gn-b49g AP's in "superg without turbo" mode. As far as the halving of speed goes with WDS, i dont seem to see it with just 2 AP's and no clients ( the PC's are on the ethernet links ). Its still way faster than my DSL line and more than adequate for any gaming we've done so far. There arent any large files being sent over the link either.

As far as the channel is concerned, superg forces it to channel 6 & 7. You'll still get a normal 54Mb connect on ch6, but 108 if your client also does superg as well.

Where on my Router's setup (DG834GT) can I get to the above mentioned settings?

Deon

having a look through the manual, the following settings are given

Mode.
• "g & b" allows both "g" and "b" wireless stations to access this device (default).
• “g only” allows only 802.11g wireless stations to be used.
• “b only” allows 802.11b wireless stations; 802.11g wireless stations can still be used if
they can operate in 802.11b mode.
• “Auto 108 Mbps” means all 802.11g, 802.11b, and Netgear 108 Mbps wireless
stations can be used. The Auto 108 Mbps mode is the second fastest mode.
• “108 Mbps only” means only compatible 802.11g wireless stations that support 108
Mbps can connect. The 108 Mbps only mode is the fastest mode.
Note: Only use the 108 Mbps only mode when all wireless adapters in your open
network bear the 108 Mbps logo.

under the advanced settings of the pcmcia card there are tick boxes to activate the 108 mode.
