Why can't I access this site with iBurst?

Iburst sucks, Fact! [Rant] :p I had major issues with them a couple years back.

Aside from that could be DNS issues [I think], have you spoken to Iburst?
 
I'm on iBurst and had no probs gettin on the site ... ? try checking your MTU settings.

Maybe cos you are in Durban...

I'm in JHB and it started last night.

Called Helpdesk, and they have been aware of the problem since yesterday but obviously don't know ho to fix it....

Can't stand this company....
 
I am also having alot of problems that started on the 1st of March 2009 and it is still not resolved.

some sites will time out and sometimes I also cant update my antivirus and sometimes having problems with www.facebook.com, www.cnn.com and other websites, sometimes the websites will be very slow but when I connect with a proxy server then it helps a bit but limited to 64k connection.

The same is happening on 2 Iburst accounts, 1 at the office and 1 at the home
 
Gee you pay them twice?!

facebook.com is the slowest site of all my int sites... It's barely usable..

I'm considering getting Vodacom 3G.. Don't mind the extra R390 per month for a better service...
 
Got the same problem here, facebook will barely load most days and other international sites struggle at times. Iburst site also fails when I try check my bandwidth usage so got no idea how much I have left.

I find though with facebook that if it doesn't load in firefox, I can go into IE and it magically loads sometimes...

I've some problems with sites not loading, see my post in this section, though since this afternoon those seem to work. If you've not done already use dns addresses from Opendns.com
 
They're utterly inept. I'm sick of them, and hours in the last few days on the phone to them has helped nothing as the sites they get to work are nullified by ones that were working and then are not.

Where can I get a broadband connection without paying anything directly to Telscum that will work on Linux?

Um NO :p

Just because the DNS servers are vulnerable doesn't mean that they were attacked.

There are connectivity problems with one of their upstream providers. Its luck of the draw which one your traffic gets routed over and that is why the problems may be intermittent.
