What is it with the developers, why do they go out they way to make linux unusable?:(
I mean if they can create a OS surely they can also create some sort of install shield instead of those code to install something...
And also make it possible to play games etc..;)

If you never worked with windows and/or linux then it won't really be user friendly. I mean I can't expect my Grandpa to come and work on a computer. He wouldn't know where or what it even is. Its just practise that makes things user friendly. Use linux for 1 year and you you will say its so user friendly and you will get bugged by the noobs asking "dumb" questions. :D

Come on lets be honest here;) I mean yeah sure once you get used to it it will be ok, but getting used to it is a biatch:mad: i Tried it and i couldnt even install drivers.. With windows you just double click, next, agree, next, next, finish restart bammm:cool:
one of that sudo crap with complicated code, what are they for...

It's user friendly enough as it is

Linux won't be user-friendly until the command-line interface becomes little more than an anachronistic novelty, instead of where you actually have to go to install anything.

The thing with Linux is, what seems complicated to those who are used to Windows, is actually what enables it to be a very extensible and powerful OS without the huge limitations of Microsoft platforms.

there is no limit to what windows can do, what u mean
Running real live network servers (e-mail and web and SQL)
Running kernel-mode device drivers of home-made origin
Powerful shell-scripting
Kernel Recompilation
Compiling apps from source and then installing
Killing an errant task without making the whole system unstable
Uptime of years or more without a reboot
until the command-line interface becomes little more than an anachronistic novelty

And I hope that never happens...

what version of windows have you used lately? win98? :p

my 2003 servers can (eskom permit) :D
the other stuff in your list is just software related not an os limit at all

Good point - Linux for the geeks, others don't need to do any of that... at least not on windows. Lol@ uptime of years... gotta see that one. Or are you referring to an unused machine?
