Why Daily Usage Reports are not working more and more often recently? We had some responses in this section previously about mail server needing "kick in the balls" and so on but this issue still continues for very long now and it's getting worse instead of getting fixed!
Don't iBurst have some money to buy a new mailing server and hire someone who knows how to run it?

Yeah, it's highly frustrating, I like to track my usage and change my habits to fit accordingly.

Someone must have kicked the server, I just got 4 usage reports in my mailbox.

lol or soneone just clikced Send/Receive :wtf:
Except my usage reports (WHEN they actually arrive) go to my gmail box ..where I *don't* hit send/receive and I, too, have just had a batch of four suddenly land. Also, +1 for the wildly erratic sending pattern itBust have on the 'daily' (HA!) usage reports.

OK I was trying to say that it seems that someone only now pressed Send/Receive on the server :d

It was Bubbles fault. I bet he fell asleep.

I got 4 jut a while ago :P

And the reports haven't been working properly again in the past few days. Just received a report for 3rd of December. Is this also due to "filters" at the updream providers or slow BGP over fibre? :wtf:

In addition to the reports arriving sporadically, has anyone else experienced that the figures are unrealistic?
According to my Bandwidth reports, I used 30 Gig MORE after hours last month than my DL manager says I did. 30 Gig is HUGE! I don't believe my DL manager can be out THAT much and the bit of browsing and virus definitions etc that occurs in the after hours period does not come to 30 Gigs either!
Also, if I look at my reports for the last few days, the readings indicate that I have downloaded exactly the theoretical maximum for the afterhours period - in other words they seem to indicate that I have downloaded at 1Mb per sec for the full 8 hours.
And finally whay REALLY made me smell a rat was the report I got on 29 November that indicated I had downloaded 6880 MB in 1 night - WAY MORE that the line speed could possibly allow?!?
Now while I am not paying per Meg for the after hours data usage, my point is that if the system IS inaccurate for the after hours usage as this seems to indicate then how do we know its not over-reading for the ordinary hours usage as well....????

It is reading wrong for ordinary hours. I was out ALL day Saturday with everything turned off and they allege that I downloaded almost a whole gig.

Just got my latest report. Indicates I used 3837 Meg overnight. This work out to 133 K/sec.
1 - this is faster than the line speed of 1 Mbit since 1 Mb = 125 KB/sec according to Google calculator.
2 - I watched a speed monitor during some of the time and at no point did the speed go over 105KB/sec.
SO HOW are these reports derived??????

My last report indicated that I used 3730.79megs and my monitor says 3715megs (up and down). I think that the iburts report is for total after hours use which is up and down.

@signates - I accept that the reports include both up and down usage but it still doesn't explain how my overall usage over a period of time supposedly exceeds the line speed? See Post #12 of this thread...
Interesting that no-one from Iburst has responded to this....

I've not received a daily usage report? Which email account is this supposed to go to?

Please PM me your username or UTID and I'll fwd a usage report.

105KB/sec is not bad!

From the specs, you can get 1061kbps downlink and 346kbps uplink.
