Why do I not get the LTE once off topup?

I got the LTE sim + router through takealot, went to telkom to RICA it but I don't have the number of the sim card from Telkom. So I just got a new sim from Telkom but I'm not getting the LTE topup option...

Do they have different sim cards for this and I have to get the takealot one sorted out? Or can't I get LTE anymore on prepaid sim...

You need to change your price plan to smartbroadband wireless prepaid via *180# ussd menu.

I've got multisim and can only get the LTE top-up option if I purchase using the main aim, if I use one of the other Sims I get the same list you get

You can do it in the router. Log into the router make sure the network settings are set 3G only or 3G Auto. Then navigate to the ussd menu in the router and send the code *180# then just answer the answers to change your tariff plan.

When you are done it should show up in the menu now. Don't forget to go back to 4G only mode and cgeck which frequency give you the best speed.

Keep *123# in mind too. Even though you are using the sim in a router you might still score some very decent data deals on Telkom Mo Nice.

The USSD code does not work when forced to 4G only or a specific 4G Only frequency so when you want to check your Mo Nice offers or use the USSD menu you would need to change the network settings to 3G only or 3G Auto so it can fall back to 3G to run the ussd code.
