I for one, and plenty of people I know of, continually get calls from MTN "agents" wanting to sell me a new contract with new phone, blah, blah, blah.

Yes, others also get calls from the other cell networks, but I have heard more people moan about these spam calls from MTN than the others.
And it is always from an "unknown number" (or "private number") depending on what phone you have.

Is there a way to stop these fools from harassing us? Seeing as the number never shows, there is no way to call back to complain.
And when I politely say that I am not interested in another contract or another phone, they will try push their luck with buts and ifs.

Just 10 minutes ago I actually swore at the person on the other end because he cannot understand the simple phrase of "No thank you, I am not interested" repeated 5 times.

So, how can we stop this harassment?

My cell has a red button I can push to end the call. Yours? USE IT! until you get an answer you like! :-)

I got 2 such calls last weekend. I told the person on the other side: I have contract x, I have contract y and I have contract z, my phone is an HTC Desire, I have lots of minutes left at the end of the month on the other cell network. Now you tell me, do you think I need another contract? They just rudely hung up on me. Who cares. I am going to try to find more creative ways to p!$$ them off.
