I asked for AH to upgrade my line on Thursday and im still waiting. Why when you ask telkom its instant even when I was with webafrica it was instant. Is there a way for AH to speed up the process?

After the line upgrade you also need to ask them to up your sync, if that's what you're talking about.

Use the magically fix my line tool in the clientzone under your DSL Line package( you can use the advanced options as well). Restart your router after doing this and your speed should be upgraded. It worked for me

When I noticed Telkom upgraded the exchange from 1 meg to 2 meg. I called AH straight away. The moment I put down the phone asking them to bump me. Logged into clientzone and was set to 2 megs.

I have the same issue. Went from 1mbs to 2mbs line. Still only getting 0.5 download on speedtest. Clientzone shows I am on 2. Tried the fix my line feature but keeps on failing.

My fix my line also didnt work but on Thursday I was moved to an MSAN (telkom fibre) so the fix my line works now ill try it later... but my profile still shows 2meg in client zone and on the telkom check adsl

This would indicate instability on your line.

I tried using the short cable that came with the modem instead of the extension I have been using to eliminate noise or some instability issues caused by the cable, but only increased it to 0.77mbps download.

I logged a support ticket with Afrihost. My line was supposed to be switched over today, but perhaps there is just a delay or something. I hope they can sort it.

Post trace routes to a local and international website and give us your line stats. Can't provide advice without knowing anything about your situation.

My speed upgrade was literally instant... changed some options on the old client zone, restart router, speed went from 2Mb to 4Mb.

There is no instant option on the new client zone, which says you need to wait until the following month. But from the old client zone it's instant.
