why does my android phone keep mesing up my SD cards?

Hi All,

need some advise here, got a old android phone S5300 galaxy pocket, no ROMS,no ROOTING Stock as can be.......
had a few issues with it not picking up my SD card an 8 GB patriot el cheapo model, not even on a pc,

thought ok you get what you pay for,
took it to samsung replaced my Mainboard of my phone with a new one,

brought now a 16GB KINGSTON SD card and it worked for a while fine, until over the weekend,
its keeps showing blank SD card, and if I plug it into a PC shows no files and asked for format,

all my files have vanished, even data recovery cant bring them back,
what I want to know is:

1) can I RMA this card? Ive got the adapter and the box but not the manual and proof of purchase
I understand that its covered under warranty,

2)any other way to data recover these files on it? or any cards brands that this dont happen with easily?

3) is this a normal thing to happen on a samsung phone? especially this one? any chance I can take this up with Samsung themselves.

I never had any issues with memory cards before. You don't perhaps have fishy apps on your phone possibly deleting items or causing it to go corrupt?

I had one of these phones for 18months, used many different microdSD cards with no problems, even after rooting and installing various stock and custom roms...
