All of these are junk pushed onto the masses/consumers. VGA, DVI, DisplayPort and 16:10 aspect ratio (eg. 1920x1200 / 2560x1600) FTW! HDMI offers content protection and remote commands, but it is a nightmare to use for anything besides connecting a Bluray player to a TV.

My monitor has all three - each support the resolution of my model and to me, look exactly the same, I don't use the VGA, but appears to be identical
