A new Lady started in our offices this week. She is 18. Beautiful intelligent girl with so much drive an she is so happy to have work. Unfortunately she is our cleaning lady. I will work hard to get her promoted but this poor child was failed by our government. This poor girl never got the free education, housing and and that was promised to her generation and her parents.

And i think of myself when I was her age. I could not afford to study i had dreams and things i wanted to achieve and up to today it makes me weepy if i think of the things i had to give up because i was the wrong demographic, and my heart weeps about this girl our government robbed of her dreams and goals.

Yes i know there will always be cleaners and street sweepers, but we do not live in a country that lends you the opportunity to work your way up to live out your dreams and goals. We live in a society that breaks you down, keeps you under its thumb so they are able to live in luxury. This all while promising you the world. We live in a country where criminals can be presidents and government fat cats. Where education is nothing. Why will your followers want to be educated if you cannot inspire them? Why would they choose the difficult route if they see you in your nice car and big house that took the short criminal route?

I spit on the ANC they promise a free country while their people are handcuffed on their knees because of creed by their leaders.

No, its about right. R40billion and a poor population. So voter education for 2014 should be of the utmost importance to opposition political parties; where did your million go? The SANDF is falling apart, so it most definitely wasn't there.

No offense, but i never got a 'free' education or a 'free' house either. My parents sacrificed to put me in the best school and uni they could. Now i'm disadvantaged because i'm not black. But that's another story.

She might be a cleaning lady, but she has a job at least. Life is not fair. Not everyone can have a BMW and a nice house. Millions of people will always be poor. But that does not mean they won't be happy. I recently drove through Lesotho. Those people have NOTHING but a blanket and a mud hut. But they smile at you and wave and probably have a relatively stress free life. They grow their own corn, wheat and sorghum, make their own bread and food, raise cattle etc. and I was amazed at the neatness and large scale of their farming and villages. You can survive off the land without handouts and pensions and child grants and this "gimme" mentality of entitlement and demands that our people have.

But i totally agree, this government has robbed South Africans blind and wasted Billions on their own corrupt interests. Get them out of power. Give someone else a chance. Vote on Wednesday and do your bit.

Why I wouldn't vote ANC -

While walking down the street one day a Member of Parliament is tragically hit by a truck and dies.
His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.

'Welcome to heaven,' says St. Peter.

'Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem.

We seldom see a high official around these parts, you see, so we're not sure what to do with you.'

'No problem, just let me in,' says the man.

'Well, I'd like to, but I have orders from higher up.

What we'll do is have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven.

Then you can choose where to spend eternity.'

'Really, I've made up my mind.

I want to be in heaven,' says the MP.

'I'm sorry, but we have our rules.'

And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell.

The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf course.

In the distance is a clubhouse and standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him.

Everyone is very happy and in evening dress.

They run to greet him, shake his hand, and reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at the expense of the people.

They play a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster, caviar and champagne.

Also present is the devil, who really is a very friendly & nice guy who has a good time dancing and telling jokes.

They are having such a good time that before he realizes it, it is time to go.

Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and waves while the elevator rises...

The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens on heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him.
'Now it's time to visit heaven.'
So, 24 hours pass with the MP joining a group of contented souls moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing.

They have a good time and, before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter returns.

'Well, then, you've spent a day in hell and another in heaven.

Now choose your eternity.'

The MP reflects for a minute, then he answers:

'Well, I would never have said it before, I mean heaven has been delightful, but I think I would be better off in hell.'

So St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell.

Now the doors of the elevator open and he's in the middle of a barren land covered with waste and garbage.

He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash and putting it in black bags as more trash falls from above.
The devil comes over to him and puts his arm around his shoulder.

'I don't understand,' stammers the MP.

'Yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and clubhouse, and we ate lobster and caviar, drank champagne, and danced and had a great time.

Now there's just a wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable.

What happened?'

The devil looks at him, smiles and says, 'Yesterday we were campaigning... .. Today you voted.'

How do you know her parents didn't do the best they could? Maybe the just couldn't afford to help her out?

Unfortunately she couldn't get the same opportunities awarded to the Sexwales, Ramaphosas and their children because the government isn't about equal education but pure self enrichment and powermongering.
