Why idoes it feel like only Iburst is stil affected by recent problems

I would just like to know why it's seems to me that only Iburst seems to be still affected by the Seacom break down if that was the cause of most of our problems, I stil have a hard time to understand this, I still can't reach certain international site's while everyone else seems to be able to do so, I tested this on Telkom's network no problem, Vodacom and Cell C no problems only Iburst so how do Iburst explains that and why has these problems not been solved yet it's been like 3 days no and from what I've read teh Seacom cable problesm occured last week Thursday it's now a week later and Iburst only started having problems 3 to 4 days ago and yeah using Seacom as an excuse could off course work.

Could someone from Iburst please confirm whether there network problems are due to the Seacom problems or is there some other problem if it's due to Seacom I will get in touch with them to confirm this, because I just don't buy it at all.

my guess is that iBurst dont actually know what problems they have. This all started when they made a change (something to do with peering) and has persisted since then. Seacom cracking up...again...couldnt have helped matters very much, but it seems it was a potential scapegoat for a while?

It seems that when things are in place and no one touches the machine it works ok...as soon as someone has a fiddle its chaos for days at a time. This could only result from a lack of understanding of "the system" - not knowing what you dont know, and not caring to find out? It's the cowboy way.

Yeah, as you can see from the 'problems' thread at the top of the page, it's gone whacky Big Time. But started before SEACOM went buggy a day or so ago. It's not just international sites, unless www.avforums.co.za is hosted overseas, because sometimes I cvan access it, other times I get timeouts. Some stuff flies, other stuff, well, I might as well shut the PC down and walk away, less frustrating than trying endless refreshes.
