Why I'm resigning - Baloyi

The letter which "Dr" Danisa sent to various boards announcing why she is stepping down with immediate effect
27 March 2007

Due to the sustained media attention on my person and qualifications, it has now become apparent that my contribution to the organizations that I serve cannot continue in the positive spirit I originally intended.

I have in the light of the above decided to withdraw from all public engagements in order to dedicate all my energies to the challenges I face.

To this effect I have decided to resign from all boards and positions that I hold in public and private organizations, until all matters have been resolved.

I therefore regrettably tender my resignation as Chairperson with immediate effect.

Yours Sincerely
Dr. Danisa Eileen Baloyi

Just shows how in love our media are with this affirmative action campaign. Can you believe this fraudster actually won the Business Women of the Year? In any other *sane* country, she would've never won this award (supposedly award winners do have background checks done on them) and instead be in jail right now.

She's a doctor...without having finished her Ph.D.

Maybe she was under the inpression that Dr is the abbreviation for Director. It may not be fraud at all but just a lack of education.

Before we all get carried away, I am sure I recall a Nat govt Minister being exposed for a fake degree in the 80s. Was it Transport? The joys of fading memory.

She was the Chancellor of Fort Hare University

Johannesburg - The University of Fort Hare (UFH) had agreed to let its chancellor, Danisa Baloyi, "step aside" until the outcome of the investigation into alleged irregularities at Fidentia, the university said on Saturday.

Well she didn't actually win the businesswoman of the year award...

The Businesswoman's Association, which hosts the Businesswoman of the Year award, confirms that Baloyi was not a recipient of its prize in 2003 or in any other year. Furthermore, a representative could not think of any competing organisation that issued such an accolade besides Shoprite Checkers, which has a Woman of the Year award. But Baloyi hasn't won that, either.

From phnia.

As the one comment suggests, "Danisa Baloney perhaps?" LOL :D

This is the problem with the majority - making excuses, defending and trying to draw attention away from fraudsters (heros of the "struggle" in their eyes)
