When I used my laptop for internet, I had a 500mb contract and it was sufficiant. Now I need 1,5 Gigs pm with my SS Galaxy Tab.

Is it because the Cache is too small and the BACK reloads the previous page again instead of getting it from memory?

Or/and all pics are downloaded in HD, consuming more bytes?
I have deleted all News widgets that keep updating and don't do facebook or porn but just cannot keep up with this data hungry Tablet.

I don't even use 250mb on my tablet, and that's not particularly light use.

Could it be something to do with background processes?

Interesting, may also explain why I struggled to stay within 5Gb's... If I get the time, I'll do a few tests. btw, using an ipad and galaxy S i9000.

I am so glad and fortunate to be able to make use of an afrihost 1Mb uncapped account.

im just guessing here, but can it be the content? i.e. internet connections are getting faster so the quality of images are going up. interactive pages, etc.

App Settings could be the cause, check how often they refresh, Tweetcaster went through a lot of data before I realised I could tweak it.

i also barely get to use more than 2-300mb..galaxy tab..
got 2gb+2gb night thingie with it, and end of month I go into M.E.M

month end madness!hahah!

I just think its the Ad's that use so much data. Get a decent Ad Blocker and it makes the browsing experience that much better.

To make matters worse. None of the traffic totalizer widgets work on Android Honeycomb as it resets all totalizers every second.

The developers have asked for the key to change the programme but to date, it has been denied.

Install onavo count and see what apps are using the data. It can also keep a constant notification going show how many % of your bundle you've used.

Read my above post.

Install a data monitor, once you see what apps are eating your BW you can decide on the course of action.

Can be anything from Ad's to Facebook background updates. <-- 1st place I normally look is at the Accounts section in settings. Make em Green rings go grey.

When I was on Honeycomb (back in the day) My Data Manager use to work. Maybe try that.

My Data Manager is incompatible with Honeycomb. Tried it.
