Why is TopTV not paying installers?

Had a booking today with an installer to do the installation for me. I just saw on Twitter however that they decided to suspend the TopTV installations due to the fact that they are not getting paid for it.

Sounds like the TopTV kickoff couldn't have been handled worse, seeing as the subscriber has an uphill battle ahead of him from the moment he decides to sign up with them.

is this so called installer listed on toptv's system? does he have an installer id? does he give his installer id to toptv when activating his clients? has he given them his proper banking details, and confirmed with them his details and actually asked them why they havent paid him? I doubt all the answers is yes to the above.... all installers I have spoken to has had no problems with getting paid.

You obviously haven't checked out the Twitter link and do not know the business.

Sats R Us is one of the bigger and well-known satellite-TV installers.

Neway: My Installer told me that TopTV is paying them well than Dstv, like R200-R300, and He told me that He hadnt experienced any problem wrt payment from TTV, and even told me that most Installation are for Witos, Charos and Branos, saying that I was the 1st Darkie "O" :) that he had to do the installatiuon for, it felt great. so really i dont understand what this this Hype About TTV not paying people,

TTV has funding, Its BEE, WEE, CEE, :)

Sure, but if a big company has a big cash flow problem, then the big ship sinks fast.

Tell me, did Sats R Us at least have the decency to let you know that they are not coming to do your install? Or did you have to find it out yourself.

They did the same to me. I contacted another installer and they got the job done....... no problemo.

I see Sats R Us could not even pay to have their website hosted any longer for the past couple of weeks...... I see BIG cash flow problems.........


I agree with Albert123, they seem unorganized, although they do a good job IF and WHEN they actually get to your house.........

Well if SatsRUs are going down because TopTV is not paying them on a daily basis, then what were they doing before TopTV came??
 
Sats R Us did my install.

I called them to book it on Tues 13'th.
They told me they would do it for me on Monday 10'th

I called them to verify they received directions to my house I had emailed to them on the Monday morning and only found out then they had decided to suspend all installations till Top TV pay them (they told me they would know by 12:00pm).
Of course I was a little frustrated by this but can understand there viewpoint so left it and decided to call TopTV myself and see if I could chase them a bit.
I finally got through to someone at toptv around 13:10.
As I was giving them my details my cellphone rang, SATS R US calling to tell me the installer is on the way.

They were very helpful, the installers did an excellent job and went out of there way to do things the way I wanted them.

Thank you SATS-R-US and Top TV :)
 
I haven't heard a lot of good things from Sats 'Я' us on these forums though....
 
i have done 50 Top Tv installations so far and have no problem with the payments from Top Tv as long as you have a TTP no and send your invoice in email to them with customer details you will get paid

I bought my TTV decoder and within 24 hours had it installed and activated. A small company did my installation. They did a great job and by all accounts my experience with TTV has been nothing but excellent.

Sats R us must be doing something wrong cause my installer had nothing but praise for TTV aslong as you have the TTV installer code its all smoothing running.

The OP should check his facts before bad mouthing the company.
