Why Net Neutrality is bad for Internet users

when do you think the competition commission should get involved.

when consumer products/service are being manipulated maybe
And they've had such a great track record to date?

We're sunk. When people start calling on the government to regulate private property as if it were a public utility, civilisation is heading for oblivion. It's really a form of expropriation.

/Departs this thread disappointed and saddened by people's lack of love for liberty.
That's exactly it, it IS a public utility. But again I don't expect someone who doesn't even understand that natural resources need to be regulated to see that. ;)

Rubbish! Shaping has only one purpose and that is to entrench and hang on to the existing excessive profits being made made by greedy network providers .....
Nope. Don't confuse the way networks have done shaping in the past like more expensive unshaped accounts being the only option for gamers with the true purpose of shaping. Someone gave an excellent reply to this earlier. Shaping when done correctly can yield good results. Someone who's watching iptv or someone using voip shouldn't be affected when their neighbour decides to download 24/7. Neither should someone playing games miss a shot because everybody's downloading email/checking the news. In these cases shaping is good as it gives the perfect conditions to protocols that require it while others that are more tolerant don't suffer to a great extent.

Shaping is only bad when it's implemented in reverse. Then some protocols always suffer even when it's not needed. Also when a service provider uses it to prioritise it's only services over exactly the same service from a competitor.
