Why the EFF is wrong: Pick n Pay

One of South Africa's largest employers Pick n Pay has hit back at claims made by political party, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) that the company is greedy and is hoarding a large cash pile.

I wish the elections would hurry up - need to see if its the time to leave.

Yet again, the EFF is most likely 100% correct. Unfortunately I don't buy staple foods, so my tastes may be a bit luxurious for the EFF, but perhaps PnP would like to explain why for the past 3 weeks 6x330ml Coke cans have been selling for R58.00 while other retail supermarkets had them from between R32 and R39 per 6-pack?

Didn't the EFF stir Chris Hart about his qualifications over his comments about the economy? Does anyone in the EFF have any degrees whatsoever. If they don't they don't have the right to comment about anything.
As for rising foodprices. When Julius and co,and every cANCer voter, gets anything resembling a brain, or whatever is in their thick skulls, going.
They'd realise that the ANC and their policies causes prices to rise.
The single biggest cost to put those products on the shelves is fuel.
Add taxes , ever increasing (inefficient) labour costs
To keep it there, you need to freeze or keep some cold. Add the cost of electricity. So stupid they can't even put a process of delivering a product from farm to shelve together.
And these are ruling/want to rule the country ?

Where do you see 6 pack of coke for 32 ??? All I see is just under 50

You know that water is cheaper and healthier

Dischem in December were R32. Game were R35 in March. Checkers were R39 in March.

December was 2015. This is 2016.
Checkers are renowned for running loss-leader products in order to entice you to buy other products.

Even at PnP, they were always thirty something per 6-pack for the whole of 2015. Then PnP supermarkets 'doubled' the price in February 2016. Even at PnP hypermarkets they are still over-pricing them at R49 per 6 pack.

Pnp is the last resort. Over the years they have been the most expensive monthly trolley. Only time I go there is for specials. You can find the same branded stuff cheaper at other retailers.
