...and to be pedantic, the internet does not move so it can't really be slow.... it is the connection to the internet that is slow!

I blame Stellenbosch University IT Department for shutting down the dc++ network. Now 20 000 students each have to download their own series where before only 1/20000 had to and was able to share it with everybody. 
Last week they even disabled inter-res connections. Thus no sharing of any kind is possible out of your own network cluster.

So its not just the local torrent and NZB sites that have been taken down :-/
