Why the Netflix Android app is tracking physical activity

Netflix's Android application is tracking some users' movements by requesting access to physical activity sensors, TheNextWeb reports.

Netflix told TheNextWeb that it was tracking user movements to try and improve video quality when a viewer is moving.

As per the article you would have gotten a request for access to the sensors if your account was part of the test group. So you can always just say no, don't have to allow it
