Why Vodacom is not blocking all WASPs by default

SMS/USSD based double opt in should be the only opt in allowed.

And customers must be allowed to disable the service if they want.

I really think WASP's are just to make certain "business partners" of the vodacon bosses super rich by just sitting back and ****ing the consumer in the sphincter.
 
I knew it would be a long drawn out excuse.

Vodacom, first onto the Mobile scene, last to implement proper security settings.. Amongst many other features.
 
Because money and no legislation preventing it. Its not rocket science
 
Vodacon benefits, why would they make it easy for the customer :rolleyes:

I was a victim of this not too long ago... Super annoyed. I mean basically they pass all the responsibility to the client to manage their wasp services with stone-age technologies (aka ussd to unsub from the services).

At least implement it into the VC App to manage from there and send a push to the app to approve registration. Easy, no???

Um they dont care, technically its a week's work. But as i said, it makes money, so who cares at Vodacon, nobody
 
I had no success with Customer Services trying to block and get refund for WASPs. I then went to Vodacom at Nichol Way who arranged to block but looked blank when I requested a refund. Gave up eventually. What a rip off.
 
Why are they not??

Simple, i have been billed a few times by VODACOM WASPS, that they deny as being their WASPS, yet they are called VODACOM something or other.
I also found that VODAFONE LIVE / VODACOM LIVE, whatever it is called, also seems to act like a WASP and even after moving to my RED ADVANTAGE where all previous packages, bundles and add-ons, as per the contract, are cancelled automatically and i then still received VODAFONE LIVE on my bill, and they also never cancelled the previous data with NIGHT OWL, i found that out when i ran out of NIGHT OWL data, yet i had ALL DAY data in my package.

I am fighting with Vodacom at the moment, for over 3 years of WASPS i need information for, last year i called 4 times a month, and as much as 4 times a week from October 2017 onwards since they were saying i owed some extreme amount, but wont give proof.

I have recorded calls going back 3 years as well as all relevant information showing the issues, and last year i have over 100 hours of recorded calls, or call logs, on the phone to VODACOM trying to sort this out, AND IT IS STILL NOT SORTED!!!
