While it's true you'll no longer have to fight morning or evening traffic, that doesn't mean you can sell the car and save lots of money. It gets lonely in your own office so you'll want to work remotely a few times a week.
... After you factor in this spending money and gas, plus the extra money you'll spend on electricity and water now that you're home more often, freelancing can easily add up to be more expensive than a nine to five job.

I once spent a ton of money at Target when I had no money coming in because I was "bored" from being at home all the time. Don't make the same mistake!

Interesting that you here the same opinion on this very forum ...

lol, I don't spend money because I'm bored, however, I did recently spend about R1k to hook my Xbox on my LCD monitor with a KVM switch so I can play Xbox on the same LCD and not bother my folks if they want to watch TV (they have 2 TV's and end up watching the same exact channel, but for some reason I'm not allowed on either one if they're watching their stories...lol!?) Pretty cheap if you're living with your folks :D

One big draw back though is if clients don't pay... all that time and effort you put into something when you could have done something else to bring in money.... or promises of work coming in so you work on proposals day and night and it never materializes while you could have accepted work that would have seen some cashflow... clients are ****ing evil bastards.
