I think that the cost of free wireless access is eventually going to be "in your face advertising" - it's inevitable and it's the only way it can actually work.

Sure, your "ma and pop" good guys can offer free wireless nodes to a few folks, but it's small potatoes.

Internet as radio- THAT is the model we are looking at, the internet as widespread and accessible as radio.
