Hi All

I have enabled wi-fi sync in itunes but my Ipad and Iphone still have a grey "sync now". I think it's because my firewall is blocking access. I'm using AVG Firewall. Does anyone have an idea as to what I need to enable or what ports need to be enabled for wi-fi sync to work?

If i understand correctly it must be plugged into a power source? Mine works when charging.

You can still sync manually from the ipad or, iirc, from the computer when it's on battery.

@OP - is itunes running?

Have you tried disable the firewall and sync?

I'm syncing without issues, haven't changed anything on firewall, av or router.

Yes I can.

Thanks Obama... :-)

So you can see your devices in itunes - over wifi, not connected via usb?

Firewall AND av disabled?

Wireless sync on DEVICE options in itunes selected?

Device plugged into electrical outlet and unable to sync via settings-general-itunes wifi sync?

Just select wifi sync via itunes when device is plugged into pc or laptop. Sync once then thereafter wifi sync will work without cable.

Worked when I turned off Firewall and av
