So has anyone here used this device before, is it worth it @ R600 each or should I go for the R1300 - R 1600 bracket products? I need 3 of them.

Think it depends on what you want. You won't be streaming UHD or anything, but just to increase signal for your phone etc - not bad.

You missed a special on them on OneDayOnly in the week though - R389.00 Inc VAT.

I may still be get them at that price though (but shipping negates most that special)

What do you want to do? If you need massive coverage look at getting two of these:

Or start with one and add more as you go along.

I used to have two TP link routers (one in bridge mode) and replaced both with one of these. If I move to a bigger place ill just get another one, and have perfect handover between APs.

For the Ubiquiti dont you need to connect it via ethernet? I stay in a rented house and to run ethernet cables across means I need to drill holes, which I wont be allowed to do.

I bought that range extender yesterday, seems to be running ok. I noticed consistent breakups in whatsapp calls when Im on the extenders network. The range is better but speed is up and down. But, wirecutter seems to rate them highly - https://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-wi-fi-extender/

Must say I have not had great sucsess with the tp-link range extenders I would rather look at another brand. Even the 2k one with the 3 antenna's is pretty bad even with just 15m from the AP speedtest only gives me around 3-4mb/sec vs 30 from the router it self.

Also not sure how they will handle 5-10 clients per extender.I would rather look elsewhere.

Couldn't get a Toto link range extender to work properly either.
