I've either been barefoot, or worn flip-flops (albeit it decent Hurley ones), for the past 6 or so years.
My feet have developed cracks on my heels and big toes, which pedis and my foot spa help somewhat.
I've also had a few problems with debilitating big toe pain. The latest, in my right big toe, has lasted 1.5 weeks, and I'm still trying to fix it, having limped and walked on the side of my right foot since. I've narrowed the problem down to over-flexing my big toes, i.e. bending down and stretching them forward, as well as to my right foot's bunion. Currently I have no joint pain in my right big toe, however my bunion is very tender. I have also constantly 'clicked' my right big toe since I was a young teenager.
I feel it's time to start wearing supportive shoes more often. Not only for the cracks, but to help my big toes.
My feet are wide, so I'm looking for wide supportive shoes which will also put less pressure on my right foot's bunion.
My favourite style of shoes is Adidas' 'Stan Smith' – https://superbalist.com/men/shoes/s...oil-commercial-pack/783905?clickRef=catalogue. I also don't mind the look of trainers. I dislike the typical modern chunky sneakers look. I'm not fussy about brand, but I also don't want to look like a grandpa.
Please advise?
